From the Red Carpet to the Aisle: Steal Katie Holmes's White Lace Nina Ricci Dress

We love how much Hollywood loves a short white lace dress, and Katie Holmes, rocking a long-sleeve Nina Ricci sheer lace shift at ASP World Surf League cocktail party the other day in New York City, is certainly no exception!
The inherently bridal look (lace, after all, is as classic as it comes) was updated with modern ruffle overlays and three-dimensional tulle embellishments, which also added some texture to this otherwise demure long-sleeve sheath. Aside from providing some fresh fashion ideas, this thigh-skimming shift picks up on a few of our favorite recent wedding dress trends: Short hem-lengths (who doesn't love a good LWD), illusion necklines, and, of course, lace.

Reggie Bush weds fiancee Lilit Avagyan in San Diego
Former New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush is a married man. Bush, 29, wed fiancee Lilit Avagyan on Saturday night at the luxury hotel Grand Del Mar in San Diego.
The couple has a 1-year-old daughter, Briseis.
Pierre Thomas and Lance Moore, with whom Bush won a Super Bowl ring in 2010, and Detroit Lions punter Sam Martin were among the guests.
"Even though we all wear different uniforms, we are still brothers!!!" posted Moore, who now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Other notable guests included former Saints player Donte Stallworth, who posted Instagram photos with his dancing partner, "Dancing With the Stars" star Cheryl Burke. Brody Jenner, Bush's longtime friend and stepbrother of Bush's ex-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, also was in attendance, much to the delight of gossip columnists.
Bush played for the Saints from 2006-10.

Jessica Simpson’s Unique Bridesmaid Dresses: Watch the Video!
Individuality was key for Jessica Simpson when it came to outfitting her 12 bridesmaids and two maids of honor for herJuly 5 wedding to Eric Johnson. Instead of going the matchy-matchy route, each person walked down the aisle in a designer dress that was as unique as the wearer herself.
“Not every girl is the same shape, not every girl is the same size, not every girl is the same personality,” Simpson says in a behind-the-scenes video on People.com. “Of course as a bride we always want to feel the most beautiful we’ve ever felt, but I think the support system of everybody else feeling the best is what makes you feel the best.”
Simpson’s friend and stylist (and bridesmaid) Nicole Chavez dressed everyone for the big day. Why Jessica Simpson's Kids Earned 'Standing Ovations' at Her Wedding
Family was a big part of Jessica Simpson's wedding.
In addition to the singer and fashion mogul's father Joe officiating the July 5 nuptials, her mother Tina and sister Ashlee were both maids of honor and her adorable kids Maxwell, 2, was flower girl, while Ace, 1, played ring bearer, People magazine reports.
"Before I walked out, I kept hearing all the applause, so my kids got standing ovations!" Simpson said. "It's all about family for us."
Even Simpson's husband Eric Johnson had his father step in as best man and blessed Ashlee Simpson's fiance Evan Ross with the honor of being a groomsman.
The two were married in front of more than 270 guests at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, and Simpson looked beautiful in a Carolina Herrera wedding gown.
Johnson, 34, said he saw his "gorgeous wife" Simpson, 33, "crying" as she walked toward him down the aisle.
"I think my heart was exploding a little bit," Johnson added.
Simpson said her big day was "so surreal," and that a special wedding like this was "something we've wanted ever since we met."
